“LONG TIME NO SEE” RELEASE
Finally, my first studio recording is out. It’s been an incredible journey, a puzzle of countless small battles that made everything possible. I can see myself doing this for a long time. I hope this is the first step of a very long road. I love doing this: writing the lyrics, composing the melodies, and then performing the result, wherever that may be. It’s liberating work. Even if no one listened, you feel like you’ve done your part; you said what you had to say. It’s a kind of public confession. It brings peace.
‘Long Time No See’ is a deeply personal interpretation of how I view time and what it means to me. It could serve as the perfect soundtrack for many different moments. For instance, the reunion of Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big after years apart in a landmark episode of Sex and the City; or even to accompany that epic encounter between Marina Abramović and Ulay at MoMA. It is an interpretation of what time does to us and what it might mean to each person. In one way or another, we have all felt a “Long Time No See” at some point in our lives. Enjoy!
